The state of the art waterjet
cutting system is a software controlled robotic
motion system that uses a thin stream of water and sand at
55,000 PSI pressure to cut through almost any material in
an infinite variety of shapes. The waterjet can accommodate
a wide range of materials from 1/16" to 6" thick. Abrasive
jets cut with erosion, rather than heat, so they produce a
machined quality edge without a heat-affected zone.
The waterjet has an integrated CAD engineering system, which accepts CAD files
from customers for quoting or processing a job. A drawing or blueprint provided
by the customer is required for shapes other than simple circles or rectangles.
| Benefits |
| • |
Cuts near net shapes in most any
shape or complexity of parts |
| • |
Production type parts where intricate,
close tolerance cutouts are critical |
| • |
Reduces secondary finishing by
providing near net parts with no
heat-affected zone |
