Plate saws
Precision plate saws are used to cut non-ferrous materials to near machined quality tolerances and surface finishes. The saws cut straight lines without any bevels or angles with a circular blade traveling through a stationary plate. Shapes are limited to squares and rectangles only; therefore no blueprint or drawing is required.
Benefits
- Capable of cutting up to 8" thickness
- Closer tolerances than regular saw cutting
- No heat-affected zone can eliminate subsequent machining operations
